Employee assistance program (EAP)
Please Note: Βι¶ΉΣ³» employees only are currently assigned to Mountain EAP as described below. Although this website links to other benefits on the BCN HR Shared Services site, all employee types at the Βι¶ΉΣ³» use Mountain EAP. The University is excited to partner with to support employees (and eligible dependents) through life's difficult moments. Mountain EAP is located in Reno and specializes in counseling and advising services for personal or interpersonal issues, such as depression, anxiety, parenting issues, or conflicts at work or home.
Local
Mountain EAP is local with a full-service office in mid-town Reno. When you call you reach a real person who can schedule an in-person appointment for you in their local Reno office.

Trained Counselors
Services are available to employees and their eligible dependents. Eligible individuals may receive up to three free sessions per year (you may continue on insurance benefits if you wish). Classified employees are eligible to use Administrative Leave for two one-hour visits. Counseling and Advising services are strictly and legally confidential.
Eligible Dependents
The following dependents of Βι¶ΉΣ³» employees are eligible for Mountain EAP services:
- Spouse or registered domestic partner under the State of Βι¶ΉΣ³»
- Minor children (under 18 years old)
- Adult children (up to 26 years old)
- Step-children (minors under 18 and adults up to 26)
- Parents who are dependent on the employee financially (65 years of age or older)
Online Counseling
Mountain EAP offers Online Video Counseling via Skype or FaceTime for non-local employees and eligible dependents.
