State of the University address to be held Oct. 8

President Brian Sandoval to discuss the sesquicentennial, capital improvement projects, building community connections and more

President Brian Sandoval will deliver the annual State of the University address at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the at the Joe Crowley Student Union.

In his address, Sandoval will talk about the University’s first 150 years and the new and equally exciting era in the University’s future. He will also discuss how high-profile capital improvement projects are building stronger connections with the community and how the University’s efforts to make the institution more accessible to all populations in the state are changing the lives of Â鶹ӳ»­’s families. His presentation will highlight the achievements and accomplishments of the University’s students, faculty and staff and the ways in which the mission of the University will meet the new needs and expectations of the state.

Following the address, refreshments will be served and the “University Sesquicentennial Film” will be played. Attendees can also purchase signed copies of “” book following the event program. The author of the book, John Trent, will be available for book signing during the event.
