University leadership and students attended the 2023 Day at the Legislature on April 3

The University held the Â鶹ӳ»­ Day at the Legislature on April 3 at the Â鶹ӳ»­ Legislature in Carson City, Â鶹ӳ»­.

Planned by the University’s Office of Government Relations and Community Engagement, the day’s events aimed to encourage University leadership, faculty, staff and students to learn more about Â鶹ӳ»­’s legislative process and to share their experiences in support of the University’s strategic goals for the 2023 session, advocating for the university's work, research and budget priorities.

University leadership, faculty, staff and students attended Â鶹ӳ»­ Senate and Assembly sessions. The rest of the afternoon consisted of a special luncheon reception and University attendance at various legislative committee meetings. The day concluded with a legislative reception and pep rally for the University community and Â鶹ӳ»­ legislators, featuring the University’s cheer squad, the Pride of the Sierra marching band and the Â鶹ӳ»­ Mariachi Lobos De Plata.

Leadership from across the University was in attendance including deans, faculty and staff, researchers, affinity group leadership and committees and Â鶹ӳ»­ Wolf Pack Athletics staff and coaches.
