RENO, Nev. — The Â鶹ӳ» has been made aware of an alleged research study promoted by individuals or entities calling themselves “LionHeart Family Institute,” “Healthlion Medical Solutions,” “Trinity Research” and other similar names, falsely claiming affiliation with the University. The scam involves getting people to sign up for a research study by sending an investment of thousands of dollars, which they are told will be reimbursed to them by the University after an initial six-month period. The University does not have any connection to these entities or the alleged study.
Individuals who have been contacted by any of these organizations or believe they may be a target of a similar scam are encouraged to report any potentially fraudulent activity to their local law enforcement authorities.
