RENO, Nev. — In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Â鶹ӳ» Reno College of Business will host the annual International Women’s Entrepreneurship Symposium (IWES).
The event will begin with a keynote address from Emily Jaenson, known for her “Be so good they won’t forget you!” motto. She has amassed nearly 5 million views for her TEDx talk, “Six Tips for Building Your Confidence,” and made history as the first female general manager of the Reno Aces and the first female general manager of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League in nearly two decades.
“Our goal is to inspire and motivate women to pursue innovative solutions and strategies for addressing the critical challenges our society faces today,” said Armina Karapetian, teaching associate professor of marketing and symposium organizer. “IWES continues to grow, highlighting the vital role that women leaders play in tackling today’s global issues.”

DETAILS: Opening remarks will begin at 9 a.m. and Jaenson’s keynote presentation, “Confident Goal Setting,” will be held from 9:10 to 10:30 a.m. Interviews will be available after the presentation. From 10:45 a.m. to noon, an interactive workshop will be held.
