For more than 20 years, fun and learning have gone hand in hand at summer camps held on the Â鶹ӳ» campus. This year, more than 15 different full-day, weeklong camps will be offered for children ages 7-14 from June 16 to Aug. 1.
Many of the high-quality educational camps are STEAM based, and some offerings include art, world cultures, coding, robotics, creative writing, Harry Potter, space, health care, math and animals.
The camps are offered by the University’s unit, and are taught by certified teachers and graduate students, as well as professionals in their fields. KIDS U programs are designed to introduce campers to the college experience and help them discover their strengths to widen their horizons. Many campers return year-after-year and later become counselors.
Registration is open at . Full-day camps are $325 per week. For the weeks of June 16 and June 30, the full-day camps are $260 each. No camps with be held June 19 and July 4.

Adventuring Into the Depths of Cultures Around the World!
Ages 7-10
Calling all young explorers. Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Get ready to learn about cultures throughout the globe.
Code, Create, Play
Ages 10-14
Create games, animations, stories and music all on your own and with complete creative freedom using the Scratch coding program. Campers will learn to think creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively.
CSI: The Science of Justice
Ages 9-12
Become a forensic investigator as we delve into solving a robbery mystery where gold has been stolen. Use scientific skills and teamwork to document evidence at the crime scene and analyze it in the lab.
Engineering in Motion
Ages 7-10
Young inventors will explore the exciting world of engineering by designing and building their own moving machines.
Exploring Robotics and Music
Ages 7-12
Discover the fascinating intersection between music, robotics and coding. Using SPIKE Prime robotics kits, campers will embark on coding and building challenges to bring their robotic creations to life. They will learn music reading and performance skills with ukuleles and melodicas.
FUNdamentals of Acting
Ages 7-14
Kids can let their imaginations guide their characters as they learn to tell stories though fun and fast-paced theater games that include skills in improvisation, memorization and working with others.
Health Care Heroes: Superpowers and Sutures
Ages 9-11
Campers will become Health Care Heroes, ready to save lives and bring healing. Discover the superpowers you need to be a Health Care Hero from the heroes in our community. Campers will learn how to suture, perform a dissection and become a doctor for the day.
KIDS U Zoo!
Ages 8-14
Campers will explore many amazing animals and their habitats and investigate animals through hands-on experiences and real-life observations. Through exploration and creation, campers will become the zookeeper of their own zoo.
Mischievous Math
Ages 7-10
Mischievous Math turns learning into a wild ride of exploration, critical thinking and cool projects. Dive into arithmetic, geometry, time, money, graphing and fractions. By the end of the week, kids will rock math with expanded knowledge.
Monsters and Myths
Ages 9-14
Kids who want to learn more about expressing themselves through writing will compose, create and concoct complex characters in crazy adventures. Throw in a dash of poetry, a sprinkling of art and performance to keep things fresh.

Join us on a journey through the cosmos filled with awesome STEM projects, hands-on exploration, creative adventures and fun physical activities. Get ready to discover the incredible wonders of our solar system.
Northern Â鶹ӳ» Ecosystems Explorers
Ages 9-12
Students will explore the beautiful University campus through hands-on discovery, engaging activities and experiential learning. Expand your knowledge and curiosity of plants and animals while making new friends.
Return to Hogwarts!
Ages 9-14
Using Harry Potter novels, explore character, conflict, figurative language, symbolism and other literary elements. Campers will craft their own stories from Hogwarts and beyond, write and perform skits, and enjoy excerpts from Harry Potter films.
Swiftie Style
Ages 10-14
Students will explore the depths of English language arts through the musical catalog and artistic career of Taylor Swift. Using clean and age-appropriate songs, young Swifties will analyze literary components of Swift’s music and partake in their own songwriting and stage design.
Villainous Viewpoints
Ages 9-14
Campers will delve into the world of villains and understand the motives that make them deliciously evil. You’ll work with words to explore and develop the voice and perspectives of your chosen bad guy/girl.
Winning Moves: Games and Tournaments
Ages 8-14
Students will join for some friendly competition by competing in several different games and tournaments. Through the games Uno, Yahtzee and Mastermind, you will learn about how different game strategies are based in much more than luck.
