President Brian Sandoval to deliver State of the University address on Oct. 8

RENO, Nev. — University of Â鶹ӳ»­ President Brian Sandoval will deliver the annual State of the University address at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the Milt Glick Ballroom at the Joe Crowley Student Union.

In his address, Sandoval will talk about the University’s first 150 years and the new and equally exciting era in the University’s future. He will also discuss how high-profile capital improvement projects are building stronger connections with the community and how the University’s efforts to make the institution more accessible to all populations in the state are changing the lives of Â鶹ӳ»­’s families. His presentation will also highlight the achievements and accomplishments of the University’s students, faculty and staff and the ways in which the mission of the University will meet the new needs and expectations of the state.

Following his address, the “University Sesquicentennial Film” will be played. Attendees can also purchase signed copies of “” book following the event program.

WHAT: Annual State of the University address delivered by University President Brian Sandoval

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Sandoval will have brief media availability from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in room 423 on the fourth floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union. Interviews will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. This will be the only opportunity for interviews with Sandoval during the event. Interviews will also be available with Associated Students of the Â鶹ӳ»­ President Dawson Deal after the address.
