College of Southern Βι¶ΉΣ³»­

Biomedical Exploration Workshop: A five-week summer program offered at the College of Southern Βι¶ΉΣ³»­. The program is designed to give students the opportunity to explore different career options in the biomedical sciences and gain exposure to the environments in which they would be working. iSURF | INBRE Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship: The mission of iSURF is to foster faculty-mentored research as a fundamental component of undergraduate education, offering students – especially those from first-generation and underrepresented backgrounds – a multitude of benefits and providing them with a wide range of advantages to thrive in STEM career paths. Through this program, students acquire essential skills in critical analysis, problem-solving, communication and the application of research methods. Great Basin College

B(S)3N | Biological Sciences Student Support Network (NIH-INBRE): Hosted by Great Basin College, members of B(S)3N are eligible for paid employment as a lab aid, tutor, or in another science-related capacity and possible attendance to the UC Davis Pre-Health Conference or other travel/experiences. Membership in B(S)3N also affords students a comfortable study space, lockers, assistance with applications for graduate school and interviews, and access to contacts throughout the state to pursue research. They also host a free, one-week workshop each summer, which includes a trip to one or more of the professional schools at the Βι¶ΉΣ³»­. Truckee Meadows Community College
