    INL currently is hiring for career and interns for both STEM and non-STEM applicants. .
    • Internship wages are multi-level
    • Compensation for travel and summer housing
    • Undergraduate internships ($25.65/hour to $30.70/hour)
      master’s degree internships and Ph.D. internships pre-candidacy ($31.75/hour to $34.06/hour)
      Ph.D. internships post-candidacy ($33.75/hour-$36.06/hour)

  • Nuclear Regulator Apprenticeship Network Program
    The Nuclear Regulator Apprenticeship Network (NRAN) is a paid, full-time, 18-month training program for outstanding engineers and scientists from across the nation who wish to start an advancement-oriented career with the NRC. As an employee participating in the NRAN, you will be part of a cohort of recent college graduates and receive support from both mentors and leaders to guide your development and NRC career path. The program is designed to develop well-rounded regulators by focusing on skill development in multiple areas across the agency. Initial training will cover regulatory and technical fundamentals as well as soft skills. After successful completion of the training the candidate will participate in three to four apprenticeships to gain a variety of skills and experiences. Recruitment for the 2026 cohort will begin in the late summer or fall of 2025. For more information, visit our .
