Βι¶ΉΣ³»

Donors

The College of Engineering is grateful for your support! Like other colleges at the Βι¶ΉΣ³», we are state-assisted rather than state-supported. The time, talent and funds from alumni, friends and organizations are well used and much appreciated.

Areas for giving

Educate a professional workforce for Βι¶ΉΣ³»’s future

The College of Engineering plays a critical role in educating Βι¶ΉΣ³»'s high-tech workforce. Our graduates have hands-on experience that prepares them to understand the complexities of engineering design problems and offer innovative solutions that are developed with industry needs in mind.

Donations that support scholarships for undergraduates and assistantships or fellowships for graduate students help us  attract the best and brightest in Βι¶ΉΣ³» and the West.

Bring top-caliber engineering faculty to Βι¶ΉΣ³»

A first-class education begins with the faculty. Our top faculty are pioneering thinkers, pushing the boundaries of science and technology and developing innovative solutions to the most pressing issues of our time.

Bringing the brightest minds in engineering research to Βι¶ΉΣ³» requires investing  in the resources that allow faculty to thrive in an intellectually vibrant research environment. Visiting lecturers, endowed professorships, endowed chairs all allow the college to retain the outstanding professors we have and to attract new talented faculty to our college.

Offer high-impact outreach

Our outreach programs are well-known throughout northern Βι¶ΉΣ³». These programs are an opportunity for us to become a national leader in engineering education. Funds are used to create courses that train K-12 teachers how to implement engineering into their curricula, and work is being done to influence state curriculum requirements.

Provide state-of-the-art facilities for faculty and students

Cutting-edge research requires access to the latest technology and infrastructure. Construction is currently underway on the new 100,000 square foot, $95 million William N. Pennington Engineering Building, which will provide much needed space for faculty and graduate students. Funds will also be used to purchase instrumentation or special equipment needed to establish or update our student laboratories.

How to give

We will work with you to ensure your gift is used in accordance with your wishes.  While there are many areas of need in the college, we are active partners with those that give to the college and enjoy hearing about the projects you would like to support.

Major gifts can be made in one lump sum of cash or stock, in a pledge that is paid over a 2 to 5 year period, and/or inclusion of the College in your will or trust. Please contact us for further information
