Employer engagement

The College of Engineering has eight ABET-accredited undergraduate degree programs (marked by an asterisk (*) in the list below) designed to make our graduates competitive with engineers around the globe. In addition to state-of-the-art curricula and research opportunities, international engineering exchange programs expose our graduates to the best engineering schools worldwide.

Our students learn teamwork and problem-solving skills on our award-winning competition teams. During senior year capstone classes, they develop marketable products, gaining exposure to budgeting, marketing and teamwork, in addition to experiencing all aspects of engineering design considerations. College of Engineering Internship and Career Fair

The College offers an engineering-only career fair twice per year, in September and February, for our engineering and computer science students to connect with our top employers from private industry and the public sector. Employers enjoy direct access to our best and brightest students to develop sustainable pipelines of internship and entry-level employee talent that can help drive innovation and future success. Employer information sessions

Come to campus and promote your organization to our students. Common presentation talking points include mission, culture, products or projects, benefits, formal internship programs and entry-level employment opportunities. Information sessions are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays and are typically scheduled for noon, 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. Reserve your space today through our .

Volunteer for our Engineering Career Clinic

Give your organization more visibility on campus by volunteering for one of our career events. The goal of the clinic is to help our engineering and computer science students better prepare for their upcoming job and internship searches. We are always looking for industry professionals to help with student résumé critiques and mock interviews. Details for our next clinic are as follows:

Career pipeline – our College of Engineering job board

We have a dedicated job board where employers may post internship, entry-level, or experienced engineering opportunities. Positions must be paid, W2 positions and covered by the employer workman’s compensation insurance. Find out more information at the career pipeline.

Connections with faculty and Engineering student clubs

Our college has more than 80 faculty with expertise in a variety of engineering and computer science areas. Our faculty often engage with employers for research collaborations, employer sponsorship of senior design projects, or presenting technical talks in the classroom about their products, processes, or projects.

We have a wide range of over 20 engineering student clubs eager to engage with experienced engineering professionals. Many of our clubs arrange for employer site visits or invite guest speakers to club meetings.
