Summary
Dr. Aubree Bussa-Carlson received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in 2012, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. She then earned a Master of Science in Nursing in 2017 in the nurse educator track through the Βι¶ΉΣ³». Dr. Bussa-Carlson completed her doctoral studies at the University of Arizona, earning a PhD in Nursing Science with an emphasis on health determinants science.
She has worked in the acute care setting as a telemetry and medical-surgical RN and in the outpatient setting as an RN Care Coordinator and a pulmonary rehabilitation nurse specialist. Dr. Bussa-Carlson is passionate about working with both undergraduate and graduate students, utilizing active learning techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding. Her program of research focuses on symptom science and health services research, with an emphasis on the delivery of symptom management programs for patients with chronic lung disease via telehealth to improve patient outcomes.
