- ATI TEAS exam must be taken between August 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025.
- ATI TEAS exam results must be received by midnight on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
- Application opens at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2025.
- Application closes at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2025.
- Fall 2026
- ATI TEAS exam must be taken between December 1, 2024, and January 18, 2026.
- ATI TEAS exam results must be sent to the University by midnight on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
- Application opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026.
- Application closes at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Admissions requirements
- GPA: Minimum of 3.0 in select prerequisite courses.
- Prerequisites: Complete all required courses with at least a C grade. Refer to our prerequisite list for details.
- Science Courses: Must be taken within the last 7 years.
- Up to 16 credits in progress allowed, with no more than four science credits in progress.
Note: Organic Chemistry is no longer required as of March 2023.
Class repeat policy:
- Up to three attempts per course are allowed.
- Only the most recent letter grade will be considered in GPA calculations.
- Grades of W, R, or AD count as attempts.
TEAS exam registration:
- Register through the .
- Choose "ATI Remote Proctor – Nursing" and select your test date.
- After completing the exam, request to have your transcript sent to "U of NV Reno" via your ATI student account.
TEAS exam details:
- Minimum score: 65%
- ATI TEAS exam must be taken within one year prior to the opening application date.
- Applicants may take the TEAS exam twice per application and the latest exam score will be used.
- Results are valid for one year.
Application steps
1. Apply to the Βι¶ΉΣ³»
- To be eligible for any Orvis School of Nursing BSN program, you must first be admitted to the Βι¶ΉΣ³» for the semester in which you are applying to Orvis.
- If applying in September: You must be an active Βι¶ΉΣ³» student for the current Fall semester.
- If applying in January: You must be an active Βι¶ΉΣ³» student for the current Spring semester.
- Ensure your transcripts, including any in-progress coursework, are submitted and evaluated by the University admissions office, as this is required.
- University application deadlines for transfer students:
- Fall Semester: July 1
- Spring Semester: December 1
2. Apply to the BSN Program:
- Submit your application during the specified period.
- Download and complete the (to be submitted with application).
- Refer to our Traditional BSN application FAQs and read the BSN readiness assessment for assistance.
3. Admissions process:
- Applications meeting minimum requirements are evaluated using a point-based matrix.
- The top 96 applicants receive provisional admission.
- In case of a tie, healthcare experience, TEAS exam score, and pre-nursing GPA are used as tie breakers.
- Conditional on completion of prerequisites with a C or above, negative drug screening, and acceptable background check.
