The directors of the Â鶹ӳ»­ School of Medicine's Student Outreach Clinic, Roshan Panda, Clarice Ho, Jaime Sesgundo and Xueying Zheng, successfully received a competitive $25,000 grant, the "Preeclampsia Prevention Through Maternal Health Grant," which is co-sponsored by the and the .

This grant will allow the University's clinic to address the maternal health disparities across Northern Â鶹ӳ»­, specifically, among the Black community.

The Student Outreach Clinic also achieved a gold rating standard from the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics.
