Dr. Cheryl Hug-English welcomes back the Wolf Pack

Hello I'm Dr. Cheryl Hug-English, and I'm the director of the Student Health Center. It's my distinct pleasure to welcome you to your new Â鶹ӳ» family.

I've been fortunate to be part of this family for many years. First as an alum and later with pride to watch our three children graduate from this wonderful institution.

Your new Wolf Pack family will be here to help support you and encourage you to reach your academic and career goals. Part of that means taking care of your
own physical and emotional well-being. We at the Student Health Center are here to help with that. We are living in a challenging time since the onset of COVID-19.

To encourage more flexibility for you, we are currently offering our services in both in-person as well as by telemedicine. We are also offering COVID-19 testing on a daily basis for anyone who is experiencing symptoms, as well as anyone who has been exposed as a direct contact to someone with COVID-19. If you do become ill, we are here for you.

We're here to help meet your healthcare needs, as well as make recommendations for testing isolation or quarantine. One of the most important things that we can all do to help keep our campus healthy is to stay home when we are ill.

Thank you for showing your Wolf Pack pride by using the tools that we currently have to fight this virus: with social distancing, wearing facial coverings and maintaining good hand hygiene. So my prescription for you is to embrace learning; to create and design; to listen openly; to share laughter and to celebrate differences.

I wish for you a successful semester – and welcome to the Pack!
