Dr. Tung received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the Βι¶ΉΣ³» in 2006. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University in 2009 and 2012, respectively. His research interests at Purdue University included the vibrations, dynamics, and fluid-structure interactions of microsystems.
After completing his doctorate Dr. Tung began his postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado under a National Research Council postdoctoral fellowship. At NIST, his research focus involved contact resonance atomic force microscopy (CR AFM). Particularly of interest were the fluid-structure interactions arising from CR AFM applications in biological and liquid environments.
