Counseling Services is one of the largest non-degree granting mental health training programs in the state of Â鶹ӳ» and have been training masters, doctoral, and postdoctoral students for decades in social work, marriage and family therapy, and psychology. In the past ten years, our training program trained 95 future mental health professionals, many of whom are practicing in the State of Â鶹ӳ». Our practicum program was awarded the Social Work Practicum Site of the year in 2017-2018 by the University's Social Work program. The University's Counseling Services doctoral psychology internship was granted accreditation by the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2021 for the full 10 years.
Practicum training program

Psychology internship training program
Our psychology internship focuses on developing our interns' basic generalist skills in providing individual counseling, group counseling, assessment, consultation, outreach and providing supervision.
Post-master’s clinical social work internship/fellowship
Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Clinical Social Work Intern will provide a full range of mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach services to University students.
Post-doctoral fellowship
