How to get your WolfCard
Online photos are now being accepted for all active WolfCard accounts. For new undergraduates who have paid their orientation fees, your card will be preprinted and ready for pickup in the office 24 business hours after your photo approval. For all others, you can come to the WolfCard office after the approval of your online photo to obtain your card.
Instructions for orientation students
Before applying for your WolfCard
You must be enrolled in classes to create your WolfCard account on line. You can create your account 24 hours after registering.
- Students who submitted photos at least 48 hours prior to their orientation, can pick up their WolfCard during orientation.
- Those who could not submit a photo 48 hour before should plan on arriving before check in to have their photo taken.
If you go by a preferred name, please update your name in MyÂ鶹ӳ» before applying for your WolfCard. There will be a $25 replacement fee to change the name on your card if you do not update your name in MyÂ鶹ӳ» first.
How to apply for your WolfCard
Go to the , which is pictured below. Scroll down and click on the Sign In button.
You will sign in with your NetID and password. Please note: your NetID and NSHE ID are different. Your NetID is a combination of your first and last names, while your NSHE ID is a 10-digit number.
Once you are signed in, you will need to register your WolfCard. Please put your full legal first and last name in the first and last name fields.
Please enter your default email address listed in your MyÂ鶹ӳ», or your official @unr.edu email for faculty and staff. Once you have registered correctly on this page, you will see a message that you've successfully registered.
Go to "WolfBucks Online," then select the "Profile" tab at the top.
Once you have clicked "Profile," you should see a page titled, “Personal Information.” Click "Submit a New Photo" and upload your photo.
Photos must meet the requirements below:
- Headshots only (no hats, sunglasses or filters)
- Color images only, featuring a white background
- Image size should be 1" x 1"
- Image resolution 300 DPI
- A .jpg file is preferable
Photos that do not meet these criteria will be sent back and students will be asked to upload a new photo. Please see the example photos below if you need more information.
You can complete personal information fields in your profile. Changes are not finalized until you click "update."
- If you are a new undergraduate, your card will be pre-printed for pickup 24 business hours after photo approval. If you are not a new undergraduate, your card will be printed once you arrive in office.
- A photo ID (i.e. driver’s license or passport) is required to pick up your card. We cannot give you a card without proof of identification.
- WolfCards are not mailed for security reasons and must be picked up in person.
Troubleshooting
- It can take 24-48 hours from the time you are registered for classes for the system to update, allowing you to apply for your WolfCard. If you receive an account error, try again in 24 hours.
- If you continue to have problems uploading a photo, please try different browsers.
- Contact the WolfCard office if problems persist.
