Education elevated.
A college experience like no other
The Â鶹ӳ» at Lake Tahoe provides students with the opportunity to tap into the cutting-edge collaborative research and scholarly activities happening in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin, led by our faculty. The University acquired the Lake Tahoe Wayne L. Spend a semester at the Wayne L. Prim campus for an immersive educational experience, similar to a semester abroad, all while earning a marketable certificate in Sustainability.
Low-residency MFA programs
The Â鶹ӳ» at Lake Tahoe offers two low-residency Master in Fine Arts programs, one in interdisciplinary arts and one in creative writing. Over 2.5 years, the low-residency format combines intensive ten-day residency periods each winter and summer at the Lake Tahoe Wayne L. Prim campus with full-time work in the student’s home studio throughout the following semesters. These two well-established and nationally recognized programs are each a celebrated legacy of Sierra Â鶹ӳ» University.
Supporting our Sierra Â鶹ӳ» University legacy students
The Â鶹ӳ» began operations at the Â鶹ӳ» at Lake Tahoe on July 1, 2022, after entering into an agreement to acquire Sierra Â鶹ӳ» University. A key priority in the initial years after the acquisition is to ensure that former SNU students have the opportunity complete their degrees.
