How to join

Joining a fraternity or sorority is an exciting and energy-filled process. It all starts through what is referred to as ‘fraternity and sorority recruitment. Recruitment is an exciting time of year when students may affiliate with one of the University's fraternities or sororities. Some of these organizations participate in a structured recruitment process during the first few weeks of the semester, while others offer recruitment throughout the year.

Recruitment dates

Our organizations recruit for new members each fall and spring semester. Depending on which organization you choose to join and which council the organization falls under, recruitment dates will range from the 2nd week of the semester to about the 4th week of the semester. See the recruitment dates for each council and learn more about their processes below.

Fall 2024 recruitment dates:

Interfraternity Council | January 26 – February 1

Multicultural Greek Council | January 26 – February 7

Panhellenic Council | January 26 – February 22

Our fraternities and sororities will be tabling at various campus-sponsored events. You are encouraged to stop by and speak with our organizations. These events are designed for anyone interested in learning more about recruitment, each organization's values and whether joining is right for you.
