Summary

Mahdi Mehrtash received his B.Sc. from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, Iran, in 2012, his M.Sc. from Shiraz University, Iran, in 2014, and his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, USA, in 2019, all with First-Rank Honors in Electrical Engineering. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, and as an Assistant Research Professor at Johns Hopkins University, USA.

Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the Βι¶ΉΣ³»­. His research interests include power system optimization, global optimization, stochastic optimization, distributed optimization, zero-energy buildings, and electricity markets.
