Outstanding Senior
The Outstanding Senior Award recognizes graduating students who have excelled academically and have improved leadership in our College.
Jacob Ward is an outstanding student in the wildlife ecology & conservation major. Jake is academically gifted and was at the top of nearly all of his classes. He also took advantage of internship, work and volunteer opportunities at the University and in his chosen profession. Jake volunteered with graduate students on several natural resources & environmental science projects, including the Fallon Wood Duck Project, where he checked boxes and nests for ducklings. In addition, he worked with a graduate student on the Pacific Mule Deer Migration Project, where they learned radio telemetry and other field skills. Jacob also spent time in the lab sorting remote photos of wildlife and identifying individuals by specific marks. In addition, he worked as a conservation aid for the Βι¶ΉΣ³» Department of Wildlife in the Fisheries Division. Jake is an outstanding representation of students graduating from the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Science, and we are certain his future in his chosen field is very bright.
