Faculty resources

Our goal is to provide our academic faculty colleagues with resources and links to better support our first-generation student population. We are federally-funded TRIO programs under the Division of Student Services. If you have any questions regarding the work we do, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Faculty progress reports

As retention and support programs for first-generation students, one of our requirements is to request our students to provide academic/progress reports. We have support from both Student Services and the Provost’s office. These academic progress reports give students an idea of how they are progressing in their classes. Progress Reports are done once a semester – usually between weeks 6 and 9. As a program staff, we thank all of our academic faculty colleagues who complete these forms and help our students.

First Generation Coalition

The First-Generation Coalition is comprised of academic and administrative faculty who are committed to creating positive experiences and advancing first-generation student success. A first-generation student is defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardians(s) have not completed a bachelor’s degree.
