Jim Bellamy, Ph.D., MPH, CNMT

Summary

Jim Bellamy is the Interim Undergraduate Program Director at the School of Public Health. Dr. Bellamy was an Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Community and Environmental Health at Old Dominion University.  He has served as the Program Director for the BSHS Health Services Administration and BS in Public Health programs for four years at ODU.  Prior to working at Old Dominion University, he served as the Chair of the Department of Imaging and Radiation Sciences and Program Director for the first masters-level physician extender program specializing in nuclear medicine in the nation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  Dr. Bellamy has conducted research in public health emergency preparedness and public health emergency preparedness training;  Dr. Bellamy has given numerous presentations in both areas.  He has also given numerous presentations related to the Medical Reserve Corps at the local and state levels; in addition to an invited presentation in Canada.  Dr. Bellamy taught several courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; ranging from Nuclear Physics to Health Care Systems in America.  Dr. Bellamy has also provided the statistical work for several clinical studies
