Summary
Anna Ingeborg Petursdottir is an associate professor of behavior analysis. She earned her Master's and Ph.D. degrees in behavior analysis from Western Michigan University and was an associate professor of psychology at Texas Christian University before joining the faculty at the Βι¶ΉΣ³» in 2024.
Research in Dr. Petursdottir's Language and Learning Lab (3L)seeks to advance knowledge of the operation of basic behavioral processes in human language and cognition, and to translate that knowledge into potential application; for example, in education, training, and language intervention. Additional research interests include single-case experimental designs and associated methods.
Dr. Petursdottir has served in numerous leadership roles in her field, for example, as president of Division 25 of the American Psychological Association, president of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis, editor-in-chief of The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, and associate editor of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior.
