Summary
I am currently doing my PhD in neuroscience, under the joint supervision of Dr. Alireza Tavakkoli, Dept of Computer Science, Βι¶ΉΣ³», and Dr. Michael A. Crognale, Dept of Psychology, Βι¶ΉΣ³». My research focuses on using visual-evoked potential (VEP) and multifocal visual-evoked potential (mVEP) for the early detection of visual pathologies. I am interested in using machine learning techniques on the VEP/mVEP dataset to classify the loss of visual function in visual pathologies. I am also interested in transferring the standard VEP experiments to VR for better accessibility.
In the past, for my MS in Neuroscience, I studied the effect of visual deprivation on retinal physiology in an amblyopic mouse model. I also worked on a computational model of trichromatic color vision anomaly in humans using the psychophysics method with Dr. Michael Webster at the Βι¶ΉΣ³». Besides this, for my MS in Biomedical Engineering, I studied the effects of stimulus parameters on electrically elicited tactile sensations to augment the prosthetic hand to the human body with a feedback mechanism.
