Summary
Rebecca Albion joined the Βι¶ΉΣ³» in 2004, bringing more than fifteen years of experience working in lab sciences and management. Before joining the University as a staff research associate in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources, Rebecca worked in a variety of laboratory settings, from essential oil quality assurance, to environmental compliance testing, to water and food testing at the Missouri State Department of Health and Human Services.
As the shared research facilities coordinator for the Βι¶ΉΣ³» Center for Applied Research (NCAR), Rebecca works with entrepreneurs, early-stage startups and University spinouts in addition to established global companies to support their research and development needs by facilitating access to the University’s physical and intellectual assets. She was instrumental in establishing NCAR’s Biosciences Entrepreneurial Lab first in 2016 with an expansion in 2018 due to its overwhelming success.
