Summary
Emma joins the Βι¶ΉΣ³» with a background in food science, with areas of expertise in food microbiology and product development. Working as a research scientist and product developer in various sectors of industry (bakery, beverage, fresh produce, medical foods, etc.) Emma brings a keen understanding of the trials scientific companies encounter when designing something new. Her scientific experience combined with involvement in various start-ups and corporate entities provides Emma with a foundation in the exciting and challenging path of building a company, and marketing products or services.
Emma combines her passions for research, science, and start-up development in her role at the Βι¶ΉΣ³» Center for Applied Research, by supporting local and global companies, entrepreneurs, and young start-ups. Emma helps NCAR affiliates in defining their scientific business needs and connects them with university-based and local entrepreneurial resources. Emma is looking forward to helping develop new programs, initiatives, and events to help promote growth and networking opportunities for NCAR affiliates and Βι¶ΉΣ³» students.
