Summary

Carlos Cardillo, Ph.D., serves as the executive director for corporate partnerships. As a professional with a history of directing teams, he served as research director in startup companies in Reno and for the Department of Defense in Fort Rucker Alabama. Cardillo also served as vice president for R&D for a research institute in in New York and as chief financial officer for a startup medical company in New York, raising $1.1 million in funding from private accredited investors.

As a PI/Co-PI, Cardillo has developed, implemented and successfully executed large research programs sponsored by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the US Department of Defense (DOD), including projects with Special Operation Command (SOCOM) the Warfighter Enhancement Program Office and Human Performance Training and Education program sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR).

Additional research managing experience includes industrial research programs in mining operations, semiconductor manufacturing and drug development. Cardillo also supervised DOD-sponsored research programs in collaborative sites at US Air Force in Dayton OH; US Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA; University of Southern California and University of California, Santa Barbara.

As a systems engineer and biostatistician, Cardillo designed, developed and implemented a tele-medicine system and a computerized telephonic-EEG data management system; developed and maintained a computerized electroencephalography drug & diagnosis database; and was an active team member for the the development and implementation of a computerized brain function monitoring system used in more than 80 research centers and medical facilities worldwide. Cardillo also provided data communication, data management and network administration for a multi-centre (15 centers in 12 countries) international research program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the New York Institute for Medical Research (NYIMR).
