Internship Process for academic credit for Students

If you do not know your advisor, please refer to the College of Liberal Arts advisors list. If you need further assistance please contact Aqueelah Thompson.

Step one: Obtain contact information

Please meet with your faculty/academic advisor and provide them with your internship organization name, as well as the contact information for your internship site supervisor. You may then discuss options for enrollment in an appropriate internship course. (Course enrollment may differ by department).

Step two: Student waivers/agreements and sexual harassment and discrimination prevention training

Once the faculty/academic advisor receives confirmation the organization is approved, you will meet with your advisor to sign the appropriate waiver, release and indemnification agreement and complete the required sexual harassment and discrimination prevention training on Canvas (your instructor will have this on your Canvas course). Your advisor will keep these records.
