Summary
Jess Rinker is the author of several books for young readers including picture book biographies and middle grade fiction. Titles include Gloria Takes a Stand, a biography of feminist icon Gloria Steinem, Send a Girl!: The True Story of How Women Joined the FDNY and middle grade novels The Dare Sisters, The Dare Sisters: Shipwrecked!, The Hike to Home, and Out of Time: Lost on the Titanic.
Jess has a B.A. in social welfare from Bloomsburg University, and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. In addition to the Βι¶ΉΣ³» at Lake Tahoe, she adjuncts at her local community college where she was recently awarded the Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award.
