As counsel for the University, we draw upon the expertise and perspectives of our attorneys to help the University and our clients achieve their goals in a creative, practical and efficient manner.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to University officers and upper management, regarding legal questions or issues arising out of their activities on behalf of the University.
- Serve as a resource to develop strategies and solutions, ensuring alignment with the University’s mission and strategic goals.
- Provides advice on proposed and existing policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for the Βι¶ΉΣ³» System of Higher Education and the University.
- Review and negotiate contracts, leases and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with Board of Regents requirements and applicable law.
- Represent the University in litigation matters and administrative proceedings.
- Manage the use of outside counsel.
- Provide training and guidance to students, faculty, staff and administrators on matters affecting the University and higher education in general.
