Summary

Elizabeth Newman is a current Project SELF scholar working toward her Ph.D. in special education. Her passion for working with a variety of individuals with different abilities has served her in both nonprofit and state roles. Within special education Elizabeth has found her area of focus to be early childhood special education. Elizabeth currently works as a developmental specialist supervisor for Βι¶ΉΣ³»­ Early Intervention Services. Elizabeth is passionate about using family engagement to create social, emotional and behavioral outcomes for young children with special needs. A native Βι¶ΉΣ³»­n and graduate of the Βι¶ΉΣ³»­, Elizabeth’s goals are to bring resources, leadership, and support to those serving individuals with disabilities in rural Βι¶ΉΣ³»­.  

Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking with her dogs and reading books. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood special education.
